The way I part your darkness
Is a mystery
Though I am the light that shall set you free
A double edged sword
Cuts through me when the darkness you embrace
But light is how you embrace me
I am a symbol of which you can be helped to find peace
I am not almighty though I try to do his will
I am like a messenger
Delivering the mail
To help others is what I can do to atone for my dark past
A violent past I am not proud of
And a past filled with hate
My future is only filled with love
Not hatred a dangerous beast
Made of the darkness that feasts
On our bones
But love is like a pair of doves meeting and creating a nest
While they have kids that sends their heart aflutter
A gray bird I say to you
Fly with the wings I gave to you
Don’t let my sacrifice be in vain
And tear my heart out as I see hatred consume you
While I am cut to pieces
Fly and live little gray bird your phoenix will protect you
